The Arc’teryx LEAF Cold WX Pant LT Gen2 is the tactical cold protection trousers of the Cold WX LT series in its second generation. Like the tops of the series, the trousers are made from a combination of materials that provide optimized cold protection and water resistance, while also allowing full freedom of movement and a very light packed size. The CLIMASHIELD insulation together with GORE WINDSTOPPER outer material and water-repellent DWR coating ensure the necessary weather resistance, but also guarantee elasticity and thus mobility. The usually heavily stressed knee areas as well as the seat area are reinforced and pre-shaped in the seams, making them exceptionally sturdy and durable. Thanks to continuous side zippers, the trousers can be quickly put on and taken off over boots. The zippers also allow individual ventilation, as they can be opened as desired, for example when staying in warm rooms. The elastic, adjustable waistband made of nylon fabric provides flexibility and an optimal fit at the waist. Inserted thigh pockets blend into the slim profile of the trousers and offer space for small items. Arc’teryx’s special cord guidance technique is also used in the cold trousers, with the cord in the leg hem guided vertically rather than horizontally. This significantly reduces entanglement in boots or on branches and wires. Low-profile belt loops allow optimal attachment of equipment without getting in the way when not in use.
