The M-216™ helmet is the thoughtful result of material technology, functionality, and good design. Starting with the material, it is designed for maximum functionality through weight reduction: The M-216™ is made from a hybrid shell design. The fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate cover is integrated for mounting lights and cameras; it provides the necessary stability.
Since optimal functionality is only guaranteed with a perfect fit, especially for helmets, special attention was also paid to this. The M-216™ helmet initially features removable ear pads – a very helpful detail when working with in-ear communication systems, but also quite useful for adjusting thermal regulation. A pocket for drop-in audio devices has also been incorporated into this protective helmet. The custom Boa® Fit System guarantees precise fit adjustment with a one-handed quick tensioner. In a sporty design, the retention system of the M-216™ helmet also features a magnetic Fidlock® buckle, allowing the helmet to be released with just one hand.
A total of 14 strategic ventilation openings ensure optimal airflow: eight on the top (adjustable), two at the front (fixed, open), and four at the back (fixed, open) for maximum cooling under heavy loads. These eight adjustable slots with their three possible positions (open, half open, and closed) are particularly interesting because they allow adaptation to both warm and cold conditions. Another detail is the ventilation channels that transport air above the goggles through the helmet to the rear exhaust openings to reduce goggle fogging. A goggle strap holder is also integrated into the M-216™ helmet.
