Plain, with a clear display, simple operation, and the Casio-typical, nearly indestructible resin case, the W-800H-1AVES from the Casio Collection Men series is one of Casio’s long-time favorites. The synthetic resin of the case, which is also used for the strap with a pin buckle, is straightforward and light; it is unaffected by heat or cold, nor by rain. And the watch is waterproof anyway: With its super sturdy and shatterproof acrylic glass dial, the watch was tested according to ISO 22810 standards and rated waterproof up to 10 bar. This means not only is rain no problem, but the watch can even be used for swimming or snorkeling. The LED light ensures that even when the watch is wet or it is dark, the display remains clearly visible. With a simple push of a button, the light diode is activated and the dial is illuminated.

Both the calendar and the time only need to be set once to then continuously show the correct date, day, and time. Two time formats can be selected: the 12-hour or 24-hour format. A second local time can also be set. Especially for those who need to keep an eye on international time or generally want to be reminded of appointments, various alarms can be chosen: There is a daily alarm that sounds at the same time every day. Furthermore, there is a date alarm that reminds you of important meetings or birthdays. Additionally, a monthly alarm can be set that rings on the same day each month, and finally, there is an alarm for every day of a specific month. Those who use the snooze function on their phone can also set it here: the alarm then sounds again after the set time interval.

For athletes, the stopwatch function is naturally important. The Casio watch shows times accurate to 1/100 of a second and can record times up to 24 hours. It can measure and display elapsed time, split time, and end time. With a battery life of 10 years, the battery is a long-term companion; new, energy-saving electronics make it possible for the watch to run reliably for many years.
