Rain over the Jura – stay outside, even when the weather turns bad

The sky over the Jura is gray as we leave the parking lot. Rain is forecast – but that is exactly what makes it appealing. Being outdoors does not mean waiting for perfect weather, but being prepared.

After just a few minutes, it begins to drizzle. The waterproof rain jacket keeps out the wet, the shoes stay dry. On the narrow path, the forest smells strongly of earth and moss. The rain muffles every sound – it feels as if you are alone on the way.

At midday, we seek shelter under a rock face. I take the YETI Rambler® cup from the rucksack, fill it with hot coffee, and pass it on. Despite rain, wind, and cool temperatures, the drink stays warm for a long time – small details that bring great comfort outdoors.
